Creator Standards, Submission Rules & September 2026 Sponsorship Guidelines

FilmsAI is built for ambitious AI-native creative work. We want creators to experiment, take risks, build strange new worlds and tell stories that traditional production might never make possible. That freedom comes with a simple expectation: upload work you are authorized to share, represent it honestly, respect other people's rights, and do not game the platform or creator programs.

1. Original, Authorized and Individual Creator Work

Upload only work that you own or are authorized to use. Do not upload films, music, performances, characters, logos, voices, likenesses, footage, images, artwork or other protected material without the necessary rights or permissions.

FilmsAI may request documentation reasonably necessary to verify rights. Permission to post elsewhere does not automatically determine eligibility for a FilmsAI creator program.

For now, FilmsAI is not accepting collaborative works involving other artists or creators. If collaborative submissions are introduced in the future, FilmsAI will use its own authorization process so rights, credits and any monetization permissions can be documented consistently.

2. Synthetic Media, AI Disclosure and Impersonation

AI-assisted and AI-generated filmmaking is welcome. Creators must represent meaningful synthetic media honestly when viewers could otherwise be materially misled about whether an event, endorsement, statement, performance, voice or likeness is authentic.

Satire, parody and fiction are welcome when framed as such. Do not use synthetic likenesses or voices to deceptively present a real person as having participated in, endorsed, said or done something when the presentation is likely to be mistaken for reality.

3. Political, Election and Satirical Content

FilmsAI welcomes political filmmaking, satire, parody, commentary, criticism, documentary work, historical interpretation and fictional political storytelling. FilmsAI moderates deceptive presentation and prohibited conduct, not political viewpoint.

Synthetic or fictional political media that could reasonably be mistaken for an authentic communication from a real candidate, campaign, political party, PAC, government agency or election authority must be clearly identified as fiction, satire or parody.

Do not falsely claim sponsorship, endorsement, authorization or affiliation with a real political organization. Do not intentionally misrepresent practical information about a real election, including when, where or how people can vote or who is legally eligible to vote, in a manner likely to interfere with participation.

Political or controversial subject matter is not automatically disallowed. Publication and eligibility for a sponsorship or monetization program are separate decisions.

4. Prohibited and Restricted Content

• Pornography or nudity.
• Sexual exploitation or non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Targeted harassment, credible threats or doxxing.
• Hateful abuse directed at protected groups.
• Stolen, pirated or knowingly infringing work.
• Deceptive impersonation or fabricated endorsements presented as authentic.
• Graphic unlawful violence or other content that violates applicable law.
• Misleading thumbnails or metadata designed to disguise the actual nature of an upload.
• Silent, blank or substantially empty uploads submitted to inflate runtime or creator-program earnings.

5. Categories, Ratings, Thumbnails and Metadata

Use accurate titles, descriptions, categories, ratings, thumbnails and creator credits. FilmsAI may correct a category, content rating, thumbnail or other metadata when necessary for accurate presentation, discovery, safety or programming.

FilmsAI currently uses age-guidance labels including All ages, 7+, 13+, 17+ and 18+. These are platform guidance labels, not official ratings issued by a film-rating board.

6. Quality, Review and Curation

Submission does not guarantee publication, programming, promotion or monetization. FilmsAI may consider rights readiness, originality, craft, narrative coherence, disclosure, presentation quality, accessibility, technical quality and fit with the platform.

Submissions may be manually reviewed. FilmsAI may reject, remove, reclassify, age-restrict, exclude from monetization or request changes when content does not meet platform or program requirements.

7. General Monetization Standards

A video being published on FilmsAI does not automatically make it eligible for monetization, sponsorships or other creator programs. Each program may have additional eligibility requirements.

• Creators must own or hold the necessary commercial rights to monetized work and all material contained in it.
• Music, footage, images, voices, performances and other third-party assets must be cleared for the intended commercial use.
• Do not artificially pad runtime with blank footage, loops, silence or unrelated material.
• Do not repeatedly upload the same or substantially identical work to inflate monetized runtime or earnings.
• FilmsAI may exclude ineligible runtime or an entire upload from a creator-program calculation.

8. Music Rights

If an upload contains AI-generated or third-party music, the creator must hold the commercial rights necessary for the intended use. A license limited to personal or non-commercial use is not sufficient for monetized FilmsAI submissions.

For example, Suno music created under a Free/Basic plan subject to non-commercial licensing is not eligible for monetized FilmsAI submissions. Creators are responsible for checking the terms applicable to the specific music they use.

9. September 2026 Creator Sponsorship

$2,000 total sponsorship. 100% is allocated to eligible creators. FilmsAI keeps $0.

The September 2026 sponsorship began September 1 and closes September 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

Sponsorship allocation

• $400 is allocated to qualifying original FilmsAI creators.
• $1,600 is allocated to qualifying individual creator uploads made during September, with distribution based on each creator's combined eligible runtime.

September upload eligibility

• The upload must be submitted to FilmsAI during September and no later than September 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
• Minimum eligible runtime is 30 seconds.
• Eligible older work may have been created earlier in 2026. It does not have to have been created in September.
• Work created in 2025 or earlier may remain on FilmsAI if otherwise compliant, but it is not eligible for the September sponsorship.
• Only an individual creator's own qualifying work is eligible for the September sponsorship. Collaborative works are not eligible and are not currently accepted on FilmsAI.
• The creator must possess all necessary commercial rights.
• The upload must comply with these Community Guidelines and any applicable submission terms.

Ineligible September runtime

• Collaborative works.
• Work created in 2025 or earlier.
• Uploads shorter than 30 seconds.
• Content using assets without the necessary commercial rights.
• Duplicate or re-uploaded content intended to increase eligible runtime.
• Artificially padded, blank, silent or substantially empty runtime.
• Content that otherwise violates FilmsAI guidelines or program requirements.

Leaderboard and transparency

The September Leaderboard is intended to provide transparency during the sponsorship period and updates as qualifying September content is processed. It reflects September program activity rather than a creator's lifetime FilmsAI catalog. Final eligibility remains subject to review.

Content belonging to FilmsAI leadership that has been designated as excluded from the sponsorship is not included in creator payouts.

Payments

September creator payments are scheduled for October 5, 2026. PayPal is the primary payment method. Creators should keep their payment information current under Dashboard → My Profile → Edit Profile.

If PayPal is unavailable in a creator's country, contact krista@filmsai.com before payout so an alternative payment arrangement can be discussed.

10. Creator Profiles, Spotlights and Discovery

Creator profiles may include a bio, public links and a Creator Spotlight quote. Featured Videos, Creator Spotlight and Category Spotlight may rotate creator content to broaden discovery across the platform. Placement in a spotlight or featured area does not guarantee monetization or sponsorship eligibility.

11. Creator Promotion, External Links & Competing Platforms

FilmsAI exists to promote, support and create opportunities for independent AI artists and filmmakers. Creator profiles and promotional features are provided so creators can promote themselves, their work and their individual creative careers.

FilmsAI is not intended to function as free advertising, audience-acquisition, recruitment or fundraising infrastructure for competing entertainment, video-hosting, creator-monetization, AI-film, AI-streaming or similar platforms.

Personal website and profile links

Creators may use profile links for their personal artist or filmmaker website, portfolio, social-media profiles, personal creative projects, creator-owned studio or brand, and other approved creator-facing destinations.

The website field must represent the creator, the creator's work, portfolio, creative business or creator-owned property. A creator may not use a custom, personalized or intermediary URL as a redirect, forwarding address, wrapper, masked link or other mechanism whose primary destination is a prohibited platform or destination.

FilmsAI may evaluate the ultimate destination and practical function of a link, not merely the domain or label displayed on the profile.

Competing platforms and solicitation

• Do not use a FilmsAI profile, bio, website field, Creator Spotlight, upload description, thumbnail, metadata, comments or other FilmsAI feature primarily to advertise or drive traffic to a competing video, entertainment, creator-monetization, AI-film, AI-streaming or hosting platform.
• Do not use FilmsAI to recruit FilmsAI creators or viewers to another competing platform or to promote another platform's creator program, monetization program, membership drive, fundraising campaign or similar solicitation.
• Do not use FilmsAI's discovery, promotional or monetization systems primarily as infrastructure to build, finance or acquire users for another platform.

This restriction does not create an exclusivity obligation. Creators remain free to publish, license, distribute, promote and monetize their work elsewhere. FilmsAI simply does not provide its profiles, discovery surfaces or creator programs for the primary purpose of promoting or financing competing platforms.

Ko-fi, Patreon and creator-support links

FilmsAI may allow approved Ko-fi, Patreon and similar creator-support links so audiences can directly support the individual artist or creator whose FilmsAI profile they are visiting. FilmsAI does not take a percentage of money a creator receives through those approved personal support links.

Creator-support links must be used for the creator's own artistic or creative activity. They may not be used primarily to collect donations, memberships or funding on behalf of another platform, company, service or unrelated organization.

Independent funding and sponsorship transparency

FilmsAI is independently and self-funded and does not currently rely on public fundraising or creator donations to operate the platform. Creator sponsorships or programs may be funded by FilmsAI, its owners or third-party sponsors, with applicable program terms disclosed separately.

For the September 2026 Creator Sponsorship, the announced $2,000 sponsorship pool is allocated 100% to eligible creators and FilmsAI keeps $0. The final $500 contribution that brought the September pool to $2,000 was funded directly by FilmsAI's owners.

Link review, circumvention and enforcement

FilmsAI may remove or disable an external link, request correction of a creator profile, or require clarification of a destination when a link appears inconsistent with these guidelines.

An honest mistake or unclear link may be addressed through correction. Deliberate conduct intended to disguise, redirect, forward, mask or repeatedly repost a prohibited destination after notice may be treated as circumvention of FilmsAI rules.

Depending on the circumstances, circumvention may result in removal of the link, loss of promotional privileges, exclusion from monetization or sponsorship programs, removal of affected content, account restriction or account removal. FilmsAI may consider the nature, severity, frequency and apparent intent of the conduct when determining an appropriate response.

12. Enforcement

Depending on the circumstances, FilmsAI may request corrections, change metadata, exclude content from monetization, reject an upload, remove content, restrict an account or take other reasonable action necessary to enforce these guidelines. Repeated or deliberate attempts to evade program rules may result in stronger account-level action.

FilmsAI may update these guidelines as the platform, creator programs and applicable requirements evolve. Material program changes should be communicated through the site or creator communications.

13. Reporting, Rights and Contact

If you believe content on FilmsAI violates these guidelines, infringes your rights or requires review, contact FilmsAI using the site's reporting/contact tools or email krista@filmsai.com. Copyright complaints should follow the FilmsAI Copyright & DMCA process.
